But Giggs seems to think the player himself has no such worries despite finding himself more often than not on the bench in 2018.

Giggs watched Real’s Champions League 3-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain last week.

He admits Bale, 28,was disappointed not to start the game but says the Real’s £85.3million buy from Tottenham in 2013 is happy with life in the Spanish capital

Said Giggs, speaking in his capacity as a Laureus ambassador ahead of the 2018 Laureus World Sports Awards in Monaco: “His future doesn’t concern me, he’s at a brilliant club.

And that Real are more likely to place their faith in young Galaticos like Marco Asensio.

Bale played as a central striker last time out against Espanyol and missed a host of chances in a disappointing 1-0 loss.
