Alan Pardew crowned 2019 Celebrity Big Brother winner

‘You can never keep a good man down, and I’m a great man’.

Alan Pardew’s first words after being crowned the 2019 Celebrity Big Brother winner were typically defiant.

Barely a year ago Pardew was let go by West Brom having (allegedly) picked up as many stolen taxis as Premier League wins.

In a cruel twist of fate, Pardew capturing the nation’s heart came just two days after Gareth Barry was unable to keep West Brom from dropping into League One.

Pardew saw off TV presenter Dec, boxer Tyson Fury and politician Jeremy Corbyn in the final four to be crowned CBB’s latest champion.

He follows in the footsteps of former winner and drag queen Courtney Act.

Pardew’s entry outfit was widely praised

Pardew overcame a dodgy start on the TV show to win.

He faced calls to leave after smuggling in a mask of Mike Ashley to taunt Newcastle fan Dec.

Pardew also struggled when he was asked to manage the shopping list with the entire budget spent on French ingredients with little substance that never actually turned up, leaving the house hungry for a week.

However he thrived in driving and dancing tasks to become a late favourite.

He’s now being tipped for a stint on Strictly Come Dancing before taking up a job as a taxi driver.

Alan Pardew sounds and looks like the guy from Fake Taxi.

It took Alan Pardew just a couple of months to turn plain old Gareth Barry into a car stealing hooligan. Fair play. pic.twitter.com/zHatsC0dTP
