EMOTIONAL Gianluigi Buffon looked on the brink of tears as he applauded the Swedish national anthem while Italy fans booed.
The legendary keeper was lining up for what turned out to be his final game in an Italy shirt.

He looked fragile in the moments leading up to kick-off in the World Cup qualifier play-off at the San Siro.
But as the home fans booed their throats coarse, Buffon displayed total class by putting his hands together for the Du Gamla, Du Fria.
His actions were praised by people on Twitter.
